Loot Crate January 2014 LAUNCH!

Hi Y'all!  I hope everyone had a great new year so far!  I have signed up for a subscription box for my boys, I saw this one and knew it would be cool to have one for them.  I am now a member of  Loot Crate.  I have boys that are gamers, especially my youngest, he is my little gamer/geek (as he says  LOL).  Loot Crate is a monthly sub for $13.37 +6 for shipping (19.37) a month and I think its well worth it, my youngest asks me when do I get my next sub box.  He is excited to get it and when he gets it in his hands he smiles and his eyes dance before he even gets it open (that is the best part, for me that is).  You can get a 1 month plan for 19.38 or a 3 month plan for $55.11 or a 6 month plan for $105.99.  I am on the 1 month plan so I can see if my son will really enjoy the boxes and also to see if they are worth it, so far so good, I'll keep it for a few more months.  OK now to the box...  =} Loot Crate curates a box of stuff for gamers with "geeky themes", it will have 6 - 8 items in each box and  as a member every month your name will be entered into the monthly giveaway for the Mega Crate. The Mega Crate is valued at least to $250 and will have anything from gamer accessories to clothes to game systems and tech gadgets.
"Loot Crate is the monthly gear and swag club for those that live and embrace the geek and gaming lifestyle. Loot Crate is a product discovery box, connecting our subscribers, known as Looters, with the best new and emerging companies producing gear, snacks, toys, hardware, art, and other goodies for the geek and gaming market. Each month, Loot Crate handpicks 6-8 new items to include in the box, which are kept secret until the boxes are delivered!"
This months theme was LAUNCH!
This one had space journey related items and a few were nostalgic (I remember them from when I was younger =})
The box is a classic black box with the words Loot Crate on it with their logo.  This is what the box looks like:
Insid
Top of the box

The first item I pulled out too look at is a vinyl Pop! Heroes Superman collectible by Funco (retail $12.99).  Superman measures to a 3 3/4 inches tall and his little head turns.  My son was pretty happy to get this guy, so if it makes him happy then it makes me happy  =}

This is a Mindcraft 2014 - 16 month mini wall calender by international trends (retail $6.99). I think every teenager should have a calender, I would love it if mine would write down all his events so I would know ahead of time  LOL

When I saw this book I knew this was definitely for geeks  LOL  This is the Star Wars Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide by RandomHouse (retail $8.95)  My son said he will have a lot of fun with a few of his friends ans this book.

It has been a long time since I trading cards but he got some in this box.  Star Wars Game PocketModel TCG with games cards (retail $4.99)  This has games cards in it but also has packetmodels which are cards that have punch out pieces that you pop out and snap them together with tabs to make little models.

Example from an online site Now for the patches and sticker, basically the smaller stuff.  The first one is a beautifully embroidered NASA "Meatball" Emblem Patch (retail $5).

This is a sticker of the Star Trek Communicator Badge by Walls360 (retail $12) and is a self-adhesive decal.  This is more nostalgic for me.  My uncle and I were Trekkies.

The last one is a Melting Rubik's Cube by Walls360 (retail$12)  It is a self adhesive wall decal, so you can stick it to something and then take it down and move it if you would like. This is another item that is nostalgic for me being an 80's girl (that might tell you my age =/) It made me smile and my son said I could have it.  =}

With the months theme of LAUNCH!  there is a launch pad on the bottom of this months box -

There is a gamer code/cheat code in every box as well -

So, that is the Loot Crate for January 2014, I was very happy with it and so is my youngest son.  I will be keeping this sub box.  The box is 19.37 a month and this month I received about 62.92 in product that is a really good deal and is very much in my frugal realm.  The best part of this box is my boys are happy when it comes in the mail, the smiles are enough to keep the subscription.

There is a discount code right now.  You can get $3 off your box if you use the code FEBLOOT.

JewelMint Cyber Monday Mystery Box

Hi Y'all!  I was kind of a bad girl on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I took advantage of a few of the deals.  I will start of with this one.  It is the JewelMint 5 Piece Mystery Box, it's a $50 box that has 5 pieces of jewelry in it that they randomly currate, But for Cyber Monday the box came out to $24.99.  Most of the pieces are $29.99 a piece, though they do have deals from time to time.  I was excited to try out the mystery box, I already purchased a piece of jewelry from JewelMint and got a free piece too. (I will show it at the end of this post)  Every box was suppose to have 5 pieces in it and there was a chance that you might have gotten up to 20 pieces, that would have been cool to be one of the ones who got a bunch but I am pretty happy with the 5 I did get.  Alright lets get to it...  =}

"Not 2...not 3... but 5 JewelMint pieces are guaranteed in this Brand New 5-Piece Mystery Box. Some boxes could even have up to 20 pieces ($1,000 Value)"

In the box
Removed the top
It was a little bit of a mess under the red tissue paper.  The necklace was the only thing that was secured in the box.

The necklace is pretty, its silver with a cool color scheme.  I don't have a piece like this and I have already figured out what outfit I will wear it with...

The gold bracelet looks like 2 magnets connected by a little jeweled gold bar.  It is cute, but I don't wear gold.  I think I will be giving this as a gift...

This next piece is really cute I love the hammered look it kinda looks more on the vintage side to me with the brassy old gold look...

The next 2 pieces I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

This one is a gold cuff with a faux leather snake print.  I am not a huge fan of gold, as I don't wear it, but I will be wearing this one.  I love the large cuff and the snake print goes along with my rocker side...

This little wrap cuff is gorgeous!  The rose gold with little roses on the end is so pretty.  I absolutely love this piece, I put it on as soon as I got it and I didn't want to take it off, not even for the pictures LOL.  The little roses have cute little pink gems in them. It is a little more on the dainty side, but I love it...  =}

So, I got 1 necklace and 4 bracelets and I'm pretty happy with that.  I have gauged ears so I'm really glad they didn't send any earrings.  I am pretty open to a lot of different styles of jewelry but I do prefer a rocker, a vintage, or a dainty cute look. I don't think the gold bracelet with the magnets is a high quality as the rest of the jewelry, so that is the one thing I am not really happy with.  I did this not knowing what to expect, it is a mystery box after all.  All in all, I would probably order another one down the road if they have a great deal like this one.

This is one of the deals I had gotten before getting this box.  My first piece for 8 was the deal.  I picked out a really cute and dainty rose gold heart and chain.  I was also offered a free item, they had watches, a few wallets and a few key chains. I decided on a bright pink watch...

So, there is my Jewelry haul from JewelMint from Black Friday.  If you would like to sign up or take advantage of any of their deals, which they seems to have a lot, then check them out http://jmnt.me/18xVfW9  and take their quiz.  I took their quiz and I'm the Rebel.  I think it's fun to take the quizzes for the subscription boxes.

"THE REBEL
Your edgy, thrown-together looks are envied by women everywhere. Willing to play with versatile accessories, you often choose items that are beautiful but also push the boundaries. You are The Rebel because your style is ultimately defiant."

I have more Black Friday and Cyber Monday hauls to post to do...  I do hope you enjoy reading my blog and seeing all the cool stuff I get that you can get too. Please leave me comments at any time, they are always welcomed.  =}

My first Stunners of the month box Dec 2013

Hi Y'all!  So, I found a code for Stunners of The Month Sub box ad I decided to try it.  The subscription is 9 bucks and they will send you a pair of sunglasses.  I think thats not too bad, I figured why not, we all wear sunglasses as some point.  In my house we all wear them, I figure no matter what pair I got someone would wear them.  Oh yeah also you can select your preference to receive male, female or unisex, I chose unisex.  Now to show you what I got this month...  =}

This is the box they were sent in...

They sent a sticker too...

The sunglasses, they are from the Galaxy collection, called The Cosmic Ray.  The glasses are labeled in the catagory level Fly.  They are big on my face, as in they take up a lot of it, but they fit.  Also the fit on my head it good and I have a small head and face.  I am trying to figure out if I like them of not...

They come with a little bag, thats always nice.
Here is the description card for them.

They will also send you a a "Stunner Saver", it's a tool that they include in your first box.  It has a phillips head and one end and a flat head screw diver in it.  It's on a key chain too, this is so you can adjust or fix the glasses if you ever need to...

OK my thoughts...

I signed up and with a code I had found, I got my first ones free, free is always nice.  They are packaged nice and they come with a little bag.  I like the bag because you can clean the lenses with it and when your not using them you can store them in the bag so they don't get scratched up.  I am still not sure if I like them, I think they are cute.  I was thinking about maybe leaving it up to you.  I can take a picture and you guys can leave me a comment and let me know if I should keep them or do a giveaway.  So, let me know what you think. Take a pic and let you guys see what they look like on me...   yes or no?  =}

Alright here is the link to sign up for Stunners of the Month  https://www.stunnerofthemonth.com/

Graze Box - #2 November 2013

Hey Y'all!  I was to apologize for being behind.  I have become sick with the weather change, but I am still here to tell you about the goodies I got.  So lets get to it.  Graze Box is awesome!  I love this sub box and for 6 bucks for snacks, well thats makes it a must have for me.  As you know I love food and trying new flavors, so this is good sub box for me.  As you know, it is also in my frugal realm, being 6 bucks for the box.  =}

 Here is the box, the box and all the contents are recyclable, thats is greet especially because I live in Austin and we do a lot of recycling here.  I also thing the box being green makes me as happy as the snacks inside. =}
You can see I couldn't wait to dig in before taking a picture
The Herb Garden - oregano rice crackers, crispy peanuts and baked herb bites.  The crispy peanuts are peanuts covered with a crispy coating with is a hint of sweetness with a slight onion flavor.  The rice crackers have an oregano flavor, but it's not sharp or too strong.  My fiance likes oregano a lot, so he really liked this one.  The baked herb bites where my favorite, there was a hint of soy sauce and sweetness, you know when you cook with soy sauce and it caramelizes?  Yeah thats the flavor.  =}

Oven Roasted Salt & Vinegar Nut Selection salt and vinegar almonds and peanuts.  I like salt and vinegar together, like the salt and vinegar chips. (So good)  I knew I would like this one and I did.  I was very pleasantly surprised though, the salt was definitely there and the vinegar was slightly dusted on the nuts, it wasn't really strong like on the chips I have had...  =}

The Eton Mess is a funny name but either way I really liked it.  It has mini meringues, blackcurrants, cranberries and almond slices.  The blackcurrants were sour and sweet and so good, this was the first time I have ever had blackcurrants.  The almond slices were slivers but still had the almond flavor, I know sometimes if you slice something really thin it can lose its flavor.  The mini meringues again had the freeze dried taste to them, but it doesn't bother me.  Have you ever had astronaut ice cream?  Yeah thats the flavor I'm talking about...

Authentic Korai Chutney with baked Curry Bites.  I wasn't very sure about this, curry is not my favorite spice, I really don't like it.  So with that said, I didn't like the curry bites alone, but with the chutney I did.  I really liked the chutney, it has a sweet and peppery flavor.  I went back to the site and looked up the description and it stated it is a tomato puree with a few different things in it like tamarind, carrots, garlic, salt, ginger ad a few other things.  I was very surprised I liked it but the flavor danced on my palette, it was very good.  It even tasted really good with the oregano rice crackers.  =}

And they put the little card in it that has the nutritional information about each one of the snacks...

I am very happy I was referred by Ann to this box and that I signed up for it.  So far I have had a few people use my FriendCode and I have one more left.  If you have not signed up for this box you are missing out.  I absolutely LOVE this box.

I just got another one in the mail, so it is time to gather with the family and taste all the snacks and post it too.

Julep December 2013 Modern Beauty

Hi Y'all!  I got my Julep Maven box today and I am super excited to use it too!  So, as you have read in my other Julep Maven posts, I am a "Bombshell, well this month I change my profile to "Modern Beauty".  I wanted to try the neutral eye shadow pallet that they had coming this months box.  I will probably change back to my regular profile next month depending on what they have.  So, a little something about Julep and being a Maven for those of you who are new to my blog.  Julep is a monthly subscription of 20 bucks, depending on your profile you will get beauty items or nail polish or both.  They will send you an email at the end of the month letting you know that you can go into your account and either change your profile or add things to your shipment.  You can also skip a month if you would like to, it is up to you.  I LOVE Julep and all the products I get from them. All the nail polishes have great pigmentation to them, gorgeous colors and they last a long time.  I know you might be thinking 20 bucks for a month subscription doesn't sound like it would be in my frugal realm, but really it is.  Each of the polishes themselves are 15 bucks and I usually get 2 of them.  This month I didn't get any polish, I chose only make-up items.  Alright enough blabbing, I can do more at the end.  On with it Diva!

The boxes are always packaged so well and so cute...

I am excited to use this months items!

This Blank Canvas Mattifying Eye Primer ( Retail $22)  I use a different eye primer but I will be trying this one.  It is an anti-aging primer and says it will mask the shine and extend the the look of your eyes.  Well, anything that says it's anti-aging and will help me with any fine lines and wrinkles around my eye WILL be used by me.  LOL  =}

Sweep Eyeshadow Palette - Neutrals (Retail $24) This is the reason I switched from "Bombshell" to "Modern Beauty"  I need a neutral palette and the colors are gorgeous.  This is also why I am super excited to use this months box...  =}

OH BOY!!!  This really shows my age lol
I went ahead and swatched the palette on my hand as well as the primer.  The bottom is the primer, the palette was swatched with and without the primer. The bottom where the colors are a little darker is where the primer was half way blended and the top was with out.  I am afraid using the primer on my hand really made the fine lines in my hand stand out more, so we will see how it does on my face.  The colors are gorgeous!  I will be using them tomorrow, I am going shopping! =}

A card to tell you about the collection and colors
The bonus item is hair ties.  The Twistbands are suppose to help with damage and keep from making that kink/mark in your hair that you always get from ponytail holders when you put your hair up.  I have a different brand and they do the job, so we will see if these do too...

The one thing I had to add on to this box was the Julep Eyeshadow Brush (Retail $18) It is very soft and made of synthetic bristles. It's also kind of heavy, I have a handful of make up brushes and this one is definitely as heavy as a powder brush, nothing like my other eyeshadow brushes...

And the info cards along with a little quote, as always.  I love getting the quotes, they can make you smile and some are just great quotes.  They choose quotes that match then theme of the month. (this months nail polish was glittery)

So, as you can tell I chose not to do nail polish this month, even though I love their polish.  Now, after seeing this I know you want to sign up for it.  =}

Use this link  http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/125986/
and if you use FREEBOX you will get the first box for the shipping price only, $3.99 that is AWESOME! So, try it out and you will see that it is not only a great deal but they have great polish as well.

Alright time for me to head to bed, I wanted to tell you about my Julep Maven box before I did. Night all!

Bye for now Y'all  <3
